Q1. Do I need a VR headset to participate?
No. While our program is compatible with VR headsets, most of our users currently connect via tablets, smartphones, or laptops.
Q2. Who can participate/volunteer?
Anyone is welcome to participate, while anyone age 14 or older can volunteer. We believe our program can benefit people of all ages who would like to add a bit of low-pressure socialization to their life, whether it's for fun, health, or educational reasons.
Q3. How long does any given session/tour typically last?
Sessions average 15 - 30 minutes.
Q4. How much does it cost to use the program?
Nothing. Currently we offer our program for free due to isolation caused by the COVID-19 situation.
Q5. How is HomeAgain VR funded?
We are funded by grants and donors who believe in our mission. If you would like to donate to our cause of connecting people to prevent loneliness and isolation, you can click here.
Q6. Does your program require an internet connection?
Yes. It's okay if you don't have a fast internet connection.
Q7. What locations does your program serve?
Since our Stay Connected initiative is a remote experience, it will work in any location with an internet connection. All of our volunteers are currently based in the US, but we hope to expand and include more diversity in time zones, languages, and other global variables.
